These shots aren’t the most uplifting, but for anyone who enjoys a good rainy day (despite it being mid-January) these images surely have a certain appeal.

I was in Mexico at the end of April for one of my best friend’s wedding. One day before the wedding we took the ferry across from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel and rented a Jeep for the afternoon to tour around the entire island along the coastal highway. Believe it or not, this appears to be someone’s home on the Atlantic side Cozumel, Mexico.

I shot this while travelling along at about 90km/h in a beat up old Jeep. This was just before the two guys piled on a moped passed us with beer in hand and sharing a joint, no helmets of course.

What was more interesting what the remnants of the original damn that we strewn all over the site. I imagine when this damn was built, the old wooden timbers form the original were just cast aside to rot away.
