I was in Mexico at the end of April for one of my best friend’s wedding. One day before the wedding we took the ferry across from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel and rented a Jeep for the afternoon to tour around the entire island along the coastal highway. Believe it or not, this appears to be someone’s home on the Atlantic side Cozumel, Mexico.
I shot this while travelling along at about 90km/h in a beat up old Jeep. This was just before the two guys piled on a moped passed us with beer in hand and sharing a joint, no helmets of course.

Oh yeah, this is very good.
Thank you kind sir.
I love this image for two reasons. First, because it is WELL done… love the dramatic sky that frames the shack with it’s colorful windows. Secondly, because I was in Cozumel about 25 years ago and this is how I remember the place! Just sent this link to my brother as he will be visiting there shorty.
That dramatic sky in the background really gives this image some beautiful life.
great light settings …. especially while moving! the windows seem to POP with color and story. great work capturing the disposition of this very moment.
Great shot Jay. Love the sky and the brightly colored window shades in contrast to the decaying structure.
Cool spot. I wish I could shoot stuff like that here in Belgium
